iRobot ROOMBA 880

iRobot Roomba 880 is one of the top-ranked robotic cleaners on the market. It has a lot of improvements made inside, compared to its predecessors. This model easily learns and adapts to the environment with its precise sensors, delivering a high efficiency operation. Like its previous models, it is round in shape and has a low-profile design in order to easily navigate through obstacles, corners and furniture with rotating side brushes. As you might already know, its manufacturer company iRobot has been in the game for quite a while, due to the first couple of lines in the manual read that it is not a toy and that children and pets should be supervised while the robot is in the process of cleaning. It has a large power/clean button on the top, which is different from the Roomba 880, which has 4 large control buttons as well as multiple indicator lights and a LED display that shows time and day of the week, I am not sure why does the vacuum cleaner have to show you the date, but why not, maybe you don’t have a calendar or your smartphone nearby. As well as other robotic vacuum models from iRobot, Roomba 880 also comes with a docking station, that is very compact and allows the device to dock close to the wall, coming with two of iRobot’s Virtual Wall accessories, which can be placed around your home in order to act as virtual barriers, telling the device to ensure effective cleaning of one room before moving to another, or to act as firewalls that you will be guaranteed that Roomba will never pass, such an example would be pets’ water and food bowls. In the package, you will get an additional filter, which you will have to replace every couple of months, and a little remote control to make operating easier. iRobot Roomba 880 is incredibly easy to set-up and configure, and it has an ability to return to its dock to charge and go back to the task automatically. A few words about the dustbin, which is very easily removable from the back, but it has a weird shape, however, it comes with a HEPA-class filter, which is super effective at removing allergens, but takes a good amount of space. The device is equipped with a small turret sensor which ensures precise room mapping navigation. There is a small chance that the Roomba will bump into obstacle, but it will mark the position, so it will definitely avoid the given obstacle next time. The noise output is reasonably lower compared to ordinary vacuum cleaners, but as well as traditional one’s noise, this model’s noise will not be a reason for you to be excited while you are sleeping. To put it in a perspective, iRobot Roomba 880 is not the quietest robot vacuum on the market, but it is not too noisy either, however, it is doing its job flawlessly. You will simply love how it works after a first use, and that is a guarantee.
